How do I:

roll back the firmware to the original?

How do I bypass the auto-update which states: This is on auto set up by the person who set up the printer. If offers no option to roll this back.

Rolling back the firmware requires you to locate the older firmware update utility and extract the .ful2 file using a program like 7 ZIP. Copy that file to a usb stick and insert the stick into the usb port on the front. That should open the usb menu and while you have to wait a couple of minutes it should come up and state Upgrade available.

Not sure on this model but on some you need to access the embedded web server first and enable firmware downgrades and when the process is done you will want to disable auto updates.

You access the EWS by typing the IP address of the printer into a browser address bar and then logging in. Default password should be on a label either on the back or inside the cartridge door.
