Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

 20 hours on phone they admitted smart app doesn't work!  1) Don't install the Smart App 2) Don't sign up for Instant Ink. 3)  Don't ever let them send you a "replacement" as it's a refurbished model and will void the warranty on your new printer.

If you failed to follow 1 & 2 & 3.. . then uninstall the app, cancel the instant ink (even if it's free) Return the refurbished on and demand your warranty back by escalation dept.   Install the drivers from Windows and HP Scan & Capture.  Presto - will work even wirelessly.
