This is pretty old model so likely if you have a new computer with a current operating system the printer is not going to be supported fully. You may find a print driver that works and embedded scanning software might work but that all depends on your operating system, an important detail that might change my response. If you have an older operating system go to support.hp.com and search for your printer and it will offer options for drivers.
