Update: It was the print driver. Weird though, because I installed the latest driver on HP's website and that one causes this bug. However, I tried installing the driver that came with the printer (if you go into the printer's web interface, you can download the driver) and that one works like a charm. 👍
---
One of our printers (LJ Pro P1606dn) recently began having problems printing. When our staff member prints something, it will print multiple times (more than 5) until you stop it by either turning the printer off or taking the paper out. This sounds like a driver problem to me, but it doesn't occur with other computers, just this specific one. I've tried reinstalling Windows 10, reinstalling the printer, restoring the printer to factory defaults, and it still does this. How could that specific computer have problems with the printer? It's like the printer sees some unique information about that computer and an error occurs there.
I looked at the Device Configuration for the printer and found that the firmware datecode is 20150114 even though I've updated it to the Jul 13th 2020 update, so maybe the firmware got corrupted?
