Samsung ML-3050
Microsoft Windows 11

I've been happily using this printer for more than a decade.  It worked with Windows, Linux and MacOs.  Today I decided to install Windows 11 but couldn't make the printer work.  I was searching for the drivers on the Samsung site, but I noticed HP have bought the Samsung printer division so are now providing Samsung drivers.  Unfortunately they've decided to not support the 3050ND going forward.  It's perplexing that setup was such a breeze on MacOs and Linux Mint.  I tried the HP Samsung printer installer from HP which recognised/found the printer, but then displayed a warning triangle and couldn't get any further.

When I detect the printer in windows by inputting the IP address, I can install a generic Windows PS driver, but I can only get single-sided print that way, not duplex.  I know that the printer is from around 2006, and has worked longer than it has any right to, but I hate chucking working hardware.

Any ideas?
