I just would like to know if TECHDZI IT AND INFRA SERVICES LLC is affiliated with HP as a 3rd party tech support. My boyfriend was having trouble with his printer and he tried to install hpsetup, then something came up and said his IP address was in use in multiple countries and to call. He called the number on the pamphlet which came with his printer. It took him right to a 3rd party asking him to give them control over his computer. He stupidly did and also gave them his card for a subscription which declined ( probably because they saw it as fraud). They sent him a sketchy looking invoice asking for $179 for a subscription and used a 3rd party payment system called zoho which their motto is that they make professional looking invoices When I looked up the company, they are based in the uk and it would've been almost 11pm on their time. Their company says nothing about tech support just that they create websites and software for large companies. Nothing seems right about this and it just happened about an hour ago.... any suggestions or any info regarding this company actually being affiliated with hp would be helpful. Thanks!

As you suspected, sadly this is a scam.
