Latest upgrade is frustrating and unfriendly - it appears to have lost the ability to adjust brightness and contrast. Also keystrokes needed are unexplained and difficult to suss out. How can I revert to the previous software?

Hi,
Thanks for using the HP Forums.
You can't revert.
Try this alternative Scan software instead:
HP Scan Extended
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi
Once it's downloaded and installed, go to Start > All Programs > HP > HP Scan Extended > Run "HP Scan Extended"
Let us know if that works.
