"Scan to Computer" functionality was lost with recent release of MacOS 11. Officejet Pro 8600 had the ability to scan directly to a networked computer from the Officejet Pro 8600 control panel. The panel states that HP Utility is required for this feature.

 

MacOS 11 version of HP Easy Start does not include HP Utility; therefore, Scan to Computer is no longer functioning.

 

How can "Scan to Computer" functionality be restored with MacOS 11.2.1?

I have been searching for weeks on HP support pages, but all trails lead to dead ends or "Community Support"
