HP PageWide Pro 577dw Multifunction Printer

I have an odd one...my company allows for email addresses with fewer than 6 characters before the @.  As a result, those people (there are 2 of them) cannot scan to email.  Is there anyway I can change this on the HP side?  It's a HP PageWide Pro 577 MFP.

By the way...I'm making an assumption here, but it's only those 2 people that cannot scan to email.

Thanks for any help.

Hello Nortonl-OCI,

Unfortunately your description does not specify what kind of error they are getting, hence we will give you general recommendations.

For instance: if everyone is able to use scan to email except for those 2 users, that is the confirmation the problem is not the printer, but something on those email addresses. Because of that, the printer functionality is confirmed. Also, printer does not have any kind of email length restriction, so for it should be the same to handle a few or a lot of characters before the @ symbol.

If you have the chance, you can ask your IT department to rename those emails then you edit those in the printer's Embedded Web Server so they reflect the new (longer) email addresses.

           Hello nortonl-OCI

And if these people exceed the 6 characters before the @, is there an error message, if so, which one? This is the first time I've heard of such a restriction, it's weird!

   Excellent Day.
