Microsoft Windows 11

I am trying to set-up scan to network but until now without success.

Using quick set:

1) Path copied from the folder properties

2) Scan folder set to shared by everyone, read/write

3) Use credentials of the user signed-in

(I tried to sue window domain username and password but verification failed!! Not sure what user name and password is referred to here. I used my email and related password. No luck)

When starting scan to network from printer, after few seconds I see next to the status circle in upper left corner of the control panel the word "canceling"

(Scan to email set-up OK.)

Any help would be appreciated.

Unfortunately HP manual does not show an example .

@jgl51, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP 3303sdw

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

It looks like you're facing issues setting up "Scan to Network" on your HP printer (model 3303sdw). Based on your troubleshooting steps so far, let's go through some possible fixes:

Change Network Sharing Settings

  • Open Control PanelNetwork and Sharing CenterAdvanced Sharing Settings:
    • Enable Network Discovery.
    • Enable File and Printer Sharing.
    • Disable Password Protected Sharing (if you don’t want to enter credentials).

Check Firewall & Antivirus

  • Windows Defender or third-party antivirus software might be blocking the connection.
  • Temporarily disable the firewall and try scanning again.

Update HP Software & Drivers

  • Uninstall the current printer driver and software completely.
  • Download the latest "Full Feature Software" from the HP Support website.
  • Run HP Print and Scan Doctor again after reinstallation.

Try Scanning Using USB First

  • If USB scanning fails (as you mentioned), the issue could be with the scanner driver.
  • If scanning works via USB but fails on WiFi, then the problem is likely network related.

Restore all factory defaults

  • Perform a factory reset on the printer (Click here).
  • Reconnect to WiFi and set up Scan to Network Folder from scratch.

Let me know what step gives you an error, and I can guide you further! 🚀

Take care, and have an amazing day!
