having problems turning my documents into emails,so i can send

To send documents via email using your HP ENVY 7640 e-All-in-One Printer, follow these steps:

Step 1: Prepare the Document for Scanning

  1. Load the Document
    • Scanner glass: Place the item print-side down on the scanner glass and align it according to the engraved guides. Close the scanner lid.
    • Automatic document feeder (ADF): Place the item print-side up and edge-first into the document feeder tray. Adjust the width guides to fit the item. Caution: Do not load photos in the ADF to prevent damage.

Step 2: Scan the Document

Open HP Scan Software:

  • On your computer running Windows 11, open the HP Scan software from the Start menu or search for "HP Scan."

Select Scan Settings:

  • Perform necessary settings adjustments such as scan type, resolution, and color preferences.

Scan the document:

  • Start the scan using either the scanner glass or the ADF.

Step 3: Attach the Scanned Document to Email

Save the scanned file:

  • After scanning, save the file in a preferred format (typically PDF or JPEG).

Compose an email:

  • Open your email client (e.g., Outlook, Gmail).
  • Create a new email and use the 'Attach' option to add the scanned document.

Send the email:

  • Fill in the recipient’s email address, subject, and body of the email.
  • Click 'Send' to deliver the email with the attached scanned document.
