I have searched the net and this forum.  I cannot get the scanner icon on my dock on my imac.  The icon does NOT show up when I open the scanner so I cannot right click and save to dock.  Thank you!

Hi,

Which application you are using for Scanning?

 

If this is HP Smart, the scan icon can be accessed from within HP Smart app and not directly, the HP Smart app itself can be kept in dock.

 

You may also try the HP easy Scan option, which can be kept in doc as well:

HP Recommended

I am using the HP Smart and it is in the dock.  I can access the scanner via this but I liked having just the scanner icon with direct access to scanner.  I guess I will just have to use the HP Smart icon.  The app that you recommended has a 2 star rating which leads me to believe that it does not work well.  Thank you so much for your help!
