HP OfficeJet Pro 9025 All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I had a problem when I tried to scan so I uninstalled and reinstalled the hp drivers.  Once I did that I could not use the scan capabilities I had before.  When I right click on the printer, internet explorer would go down.  On the install I opted to allow Hp to do analysis on data.  The install encountered errors and when I clicked on scan icons, nothing happened.  I tried to uninstall and reinstall again but this time I did not allow HP to collect data, however, I still encountered the problem.  When I looked at the WIA windows image acquisition, it said it was stopping and I could not restart, everything was greyed out.  I was able to print and use scan but did not have all the scan capabilities.  In further research, someone said to change the WIA properties to Local System account and check allow services to interact with desktop.  According to windows, they said this was very risky.  So,  I found the pid number and ran the taskkill command to stop Windows Image Acquisition service.  Once it stopped, I was able to start it and now everything is working fine.  Suggest you do not allow HP  to collect data or if you do change the logon  in WIA  to Local System Account and check the allow service to interact with desktop.  HP should tell people ahead of time so they don't waste time trying to figure this out.
