Hello

I am trying to get in touch with HP which isn't easy at all. First question to get in somewhere is always "Give the serial number of the device".
But that is just the problem. My serial number is not recognised by HP yet it is an HP printer and I confirm that nothing has been misread or mistyped.

 

The scanner will no longer connect to my computer and the automatic cutter does not work

How can I proceed here ? I mean I think a live person will need to check this but how on earth can I get in touch with a live person if I never get passed the "serial number"' question ?

For the current issues with the scanner not connecting to your computer and the automatic cutter not functioning, a detailed review of your printer’s information will allow us to provide the most accurate troubleshooting steps. 

Kindly send us a Direct Message (DM) with the following details:

 

  • Printer model name

  • Serial number (as shown on the device label)

  • Your country/region

  • A brief description of the issue

  • Any error messages, if displayed

Once we have these details, we will be able to guide you with precise resolution steps and assist you further. 

In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Support Community profile, next to your profile Name.
