I am trying to setup the 'scan to email' function but I cannot figure out the imformation I am suppose to input.  Can I get some assisstance please?

This is the error I am receving:

The printer is unable to validate the server’s security certificate because the certificate is either self-signed or has been issued by an unknown authority. To enable the printer to validate the certificate, import trusted CA (Certificate Authority) certificates into the printer.

To import the certificate, go to the Certificates page, and then follow the onscreen instructions.

@Shawn71

A warm welcome to HP Forums! This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips to your technical queries.

The easiest way to setup Scan to Email is by using the Scan to Email setup wizard. Here is how to do it:

1.) On your Mac, open Finder

2.) Click Applications, open HP or Hewlett Packard folder

3.) Open HP Utility. (If you dont see HP Utility, download and install HP Utility from here.)

4.) Click Scan to Email.

5.) Click Begin Scan to Email Setup....

6.) If you see "Your connection is not private" message on the web browser, click Advanced and then click Proceed. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the setup.

Let me know how it goes!

So I did what you said but I'm having trouble with the certificate setup.  Is there a detailed setup instructions page?  Thanks!

Could you share the screenshot of the window which gives you the certificate error?
