Running on Sequoia 15.1 for Mac and scanner will not connect

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.  

  

If your HP OfficeJet Pro 8715 All-in-One Printer scanner is not connecting on Sequoia 15.1 for Mac, try these troubleshooting steps:

 

1. Restart Devices

  • Restart your Mac and printer.
  • Ensure both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network if using wireless scanning.

2. Check HP Smart & Drivers

  • Ensure HP Smart is installed on your Mac.
  • If HP Smart does not detect the scanner, uninstall and reinstall it.

3. Check Scanner in System Preferences

  • Go to System Settings > Printers & Scanners.
  • Select your printer and check if the Scan tab appears.
  • If not listed, remove and re-add the printer.

4. Reset Printer System

  • Go to System Settings > Printers & Scanners.
  • Right-click on the printer list and choose Reset Printing System.
  • Re-add the printer.
