HP ENVY 4524

Hi,

 

I have the HP ENVY 4524 printer and I've had it for around a year now. For some reason the screen has just completely stopped working. It doesn't come up with anything anymore and is just a blank white screen.

This makes it difficult to copy any documents i put into the printer as I can't do anything on the screen - at the moment I have to do it through my Mac which is just a long way of doing it...

 

If anyone has any suggestions that would be great! thanks

A warm welcome to HP Support Community!

Removing the ink cartridges and power resetting the printer may resolve the issue. Let's try these steps:

Please ensure the printer is up-to-date with its firmware. If you are unsure, you can download and install the latest firmware update from here.

1) Make sure this printer is plugged into a direct wall, not a surge protector

2) Remove all of your ink cartridges from the printer and close the door

3) Remove the power cord from the back of the printer (Do no press the power button)

4) Plug the power cord back into the printer

5) Wait for the printer to turn on completely, then install the ink cartridges.
