HP All-In-One Deskjet 4280 printer

I have an old HP All-In-One Deskjet 4280 printer that I need to recycle so I want to erase any personal information on it.  I can't do a factory reset because the computer that it was linked to had a hard drive issue and nothing is accessible so I can't access the software settings for the printer.  Does anyone know if I can do a factory reset directly from the printer itself by pushing existing buttons?  If not, is there hardware I need to access so I can destroy it and my personal information?   Thanks for any help/advice!

Depending on whether you have an actual control panel on your machine, these instructions may or may not be applicable, https://support.hp.com/ca-en/document/ish_4536175-4237962-16. On some machines you need to be connected to the device to perform a factory reset. On some models a hard reset does clear everything so I am assuming that you tried that already and it was not successful. Failing the above, any data on the unit would normally be stored on the main board where the usb cables connect and you could either drill through the board or remove that board and physically break it.

From my reading, the thread provided just tells me how to perform a hard reset.  I need to do a factory reset so that all personal information is erased.  A hard reset is like a reboot so it won't erase my personal information.  Please see my original question and advise how to do a factory reset without access to a computer or advise how I can access and remove the hard drive in the printer and destroy it.
