@JVT3, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

If you're having trouble accessing your HP OfficeJet Pro 8135e All-in-One Printer due to a forgotten or incorrect password, you can follow these general steps to reset the password or restore the printer's settings to default:

Restore Factory Settings:

  • On your printer's control panel, navigate to "Settings."
  • Select "Printer Maintenance" or "Printer Setup."
  • Choose "Restore" or "Restore Defaults."
  • Confirm the action; this will restore the printer to its original factory settings, including any passwords.

Printer Reset via HP App:

  • Open the HP App on your computer or mobile device.
  • Add your printer if it's not already added.
  • Go to "Printer Settings" and look for an option to reset or restore settings.

Manual Reset:

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Disconnect the power cord from the printer.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power cord and turn on the printer.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
