I seemingly can't gain access to any customer support because none HP's system recognize my serial number.

I bought the printer from HP's website, and I can't being any sort of customer service ticket request, because all of the systems require a serial number to which I provide and can never be found.
Am I reading the wrong digits in the section clearly labeled " Serial No." followed by a 10 digit alphanumeric code?

Had the same issue before and here's what i did to add a device to my account.
I go to https://support.hp.com/us-en/check-warranty make sure you're logged in. Input the Serial number and if it doesn't found anything it might require the Product number of the device. If it did found the product there should be a button there saying "Add product to Dashboard" adding the device finally to your account.
