I have a HP Officejet Pro 8625 that I've had for about a year. It's worked great until recently. I'm getting the error message that the printhead is missing, not detected or incorrectly installed. The printhead is there, I've used HP Support posts to try to resolve the issue myself.

In some of the posts they encourage people to see if the printer is under warranty still or call the support line. HP doesn't recognize the serial number on the back of the printer to even set up a ticket to help me. I can't get anywhere at the moment with HP Support or see if it's under warranty.

Needing to resolve the printhead error at highest priority. Seems an unrecognizable serial number is keeping me from doing so. Thanks

Check if the carriage is properly seated inside the printer.
