Serialnumber of HP Laserjet M207DW not recognized

I just bought directly from HP a Laserjet M207DW. I can copy and paste the serial number from the HP app. However, the serial number is not recognized: "Please enter a valid serial number". In this way I can't get any support for the printer. I wonder if someone can help me further.

You don't need a serial number for support.

Thanks. Given your link, you are right, but how to get this link? In the meanwhile I figured out what is wrong with the serial number. On the printer, I found a serial number and a product number. HP asks for the serial number, but what is meant is in fact the product number. That solved the problem for me.
