HP Color Laser 150nw
iOS

Hey there,

i’m owning a small shop and i have the HP Color Laser 150nw.

Now usually in my day i switch the paper between A4 and a custom size for shipping labels.

My problem is, that i can’t choose custom sizes on iPad or iPhone. I’m starting my online shop soon and i would like to solve the issue. I don’t use a PC or a MacBook. So if i wanna print something, it’s just showing me A4 and US Legal as presets.

So if i would connect the printer ones to a pc and create some favourites for these printer sizes, does anyone know if the favourites are shown on iPad and iPhone as well? I couldn’t find any informations about that, if the favourites are shown on the iPad as well.

Appreciate your help in that case.. i really wanna avoid to buy a new printer.

Best

Hi @einszwei,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to assist you.

I see that you are facing an issue with paper settings for your printer while using iPhone or iPad.

A) Please follow the steps below to perform a power drain.

1) Take out the cartridges

2) Unplug the power cord from the printer & wall.

3) Press and hold the power button down for 15 seconds and release the power button, wait for about 30 seconds.

4) Plug the power cord back into the printer and wall, ensure the printer is plugged into the wall & not into a surge protector.

5) Insert the cartridges back into the printer.

Remove the cartridges > Unplug the power cord > Wait for 30 seconds > Plug the power cord back in > Insert the cartridges

Restart all the devices which you use to print on your printer and check if that works.

B) Update the printer firmware using this link.

C) Uninstall the HP smart app by click on this link, Restart the computer or mobile device to clear possible error conditions.

D) Refer to this link to use the HP smart app on your phone/tablet/PC to add a printer.

Please click “Accepted Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution. Click the “Kudos/Thumbs Up" on the bottom right to say “Thanks” for helping!

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a great day ahead!
