Hi @Mddi6,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Welcome! Great questions, let’s get your HP OfficeJet Pro 8120e up and running smoothly.

1. Connect the Printer to Wi-Fi

  1. Power on the printer and make sure it’s on the home screen.
  2. On the printer display, tap Wireless or Network Settings.
  3. Select Wireless Setup Wizard.
  4. Choose your Wi-Fi network from the list and enter the password.
    • If your network doesn’t appear, tap Add Network and enter details manually.
  5. Once connected, the wireless icon should turn solid blue.

💡 Tip: For the easiest setup, use the HP App:

2. Install the Ink Cartridges

Your printer uses four cartridges: Black, Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow.

  • Open the ink access door (usually at the front/top of the printer).
  • Inside, you’ll see four color-coded slots:
    • K = Black
    • C = Cyan
    • M = Magenta
    • Y = Yellow
  • Remove the orange tape from each cartridge.
  • Insert each cartridge into its matching slot until it clicks.
  • Close the ink access door.
