Hi @Robbie95,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

To restart the alignment process on your HP DeskJet 2710e All-in-One Printer, you can follow these steps using the HP Smart app or the printer software:

Method 1: From HP Smart App (Recommended)

  1. Open the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device.
(If not installed: HP Smart - Free download and install on Windows | Microsoft Store)
  2. Select your HP DeskJet 2710e printer.
  3. Go to Printer Settings or Advanced Settings (may open in a browser).
  4. Navigate to:
Printer Maintenance > Align Printhead or Align Printer
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to print and scan the alignment page.

Method 2: From the Printer directly:

Load Paper:

  • Make sure plain white paper is loaded into the input tray.

Print an Alignment Page:

  • On the control panel, press the Cancel button (the icon with a red X) to cancel any current print jobs.

  • Then, press and hold the Resume button (icon with a blank page) for three seconds.

Scan the Alignment Page:

  • Once the alignment page prints, open the scanner lid.
  • Place the alignment page face down on the scanner glass, aligning it to the lower right corner of the glass.
  • Close the scanner lid.

Complete the Alignment:

  • On the control panel, press the Start Copy Black or Start Copy Color button to start the scanning process.
  • The printer will scan the alignment page and complete the alignment process.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
