I'm trying to set up my HP Smart Tank 7302 All-in-One printer.  My computer has found the printer, however, during the configuration stage a prompt indicates my printer has a factory set password.  How do I find this to continue with the set-up?

Hi @nicolel04,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To find the factory set password for your HP Smart Tank 7302 All-in-One printer, follow these steps:

  • Check the Printer Documentation: The default password is often listed in the printer's setup guide or user manual. Look for a section related to network setup or default passwords.
  • Check the Printer Label: Some printers have a label or sticker on the body that lists the default network credentials, including the password. Check the back or underside of the printer.
  • Reset the Printer: If you can’t find the password, you might need to reset the printer to its factory settings. This process usually involves holding down specific buttons while turning on the printer. Refer to the printer's manual for the exact procedure to reset it.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
