@SueJake, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Error Code "E0" and "Door Open" Message on HP ENVY 6055e Printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If you are encountering an "E0" error code and a message indicating that a door is open during the setup of your HP ENVY 6055e printer, here is a step-by-step guide to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

Check the Cartridge Access Door:

  • Ensure that the cartridge access door is properly closed. Push down gently but firmly on the door until it clicks into place.

Inspect for Obstructions:

  • Open the printer's cartridge access door and make sure there are no obstructions blocking it from closing properly, such as packing materials or cartridges that might not be seated correctly.

Verify the Printhead Latch:

  • If applicable, make sure the printhead latch is securely fastened. A loose latch can sometimes cause an error related to the door being open.

Check the Paper Tray:

  • Ensure that the paper tray is correctly inserted and not partially open or misaligned.

Power Cycle the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer completely, unplug it from the power source, wait for about a minute, and then plug it back in and turn it on to reset any false errors.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
