Hi @Gina-31,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're having trouble reconnecting your HP DeskJet 2800e All-In-One Printer to your Wi-Fi and printing from your smartphone. Let's go step-by-step to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
1. Check Printer Connection to Wi-Fi
- Ensure your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your smartphone.
- On the printer, press and hold the Wireless button until the light starts blinking.
- Press the Information button to print a Network Configuration page. This will show if the printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network.
If the printer isn’t connected:
- Press the Wireless button again and follow the prompts on the printer screen to reconnect it to the network.
2. Install the HP Smart App
- If you haven't already, download the HP Smart app on your smartphone from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
- Open the app and sign in or create an HP account if prompted.
3. Add Printer to HP Smart App
- Open the HP Smart app and tap on the + or Add Printer option.
- The app should automatically detect your HP DeskJet 2800e if it's connected to the same Wi-Fi.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.
4. Ensure Printer and Phone are on the Same Network
- Double-check that both your smartphone and printer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. If you're on a dual-band router (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz), make sure both devices are connected to the same frequency band (usually 2.4 GHz is more stable for printers).
5. Check Wi-Fi Connection
- If you're still having issues, restart your Wi-Fi router, your phone, and the printer to refresh their connections.
6. Test Printing
- Once connected, try printing a test document from your smartphone to see if the issue is resolved.
