Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I can't setup my new HP Deskjet Plus 4120 to my laptop by cable. I don't want to use it by wifi because it is so slow. So I want to use it by the printer cable. The computer sees the printer, choses it but when I want to print it won't print.

I tried to delete the device and try to set it up again, this time it shows and selects the printer, asks me for Wifi direct pin. Then it won't do anything after I log in the pin no.

@Murat3575, Welcome to HP Support Community!

Follow the steps below to configure the printer-

Download the HP Smart app, and then follow the instructions to set up a USB connection in Windows.

  1. If you already connected the printer USB cable to your computer, disconnect it, and then remove the printer from your computer.

Search for and open Printers & scanners, and then select the name of your printer from the list. Click Remove device, click Yes, and then restart the computer.

  2. Make sure an open USB port is available on your computer. Do not connect the printer to a USB hub or docking station as the printer might not receive enough power to operate properly.

  3. Go to HP Smart - Microsoft Store and install the HP Smart app.

  4. Open the app, and then follow the guided installation to complete the setup. If the setup does not begin automatically, click the Plus sign to add your printer.

Try printing.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
