Hi,

I bought a printer Hp Envy 6020, but I can't set up it, because Hp Smart ask me to put the setup ink cartridges into the printer, however there are already there. I also tried with standard cartridges, but the message is the same. And yes, I'm sure that these are the setup cartridges, because it is mentioned on. How I can do to bypass this issue ?

Thank you in advance.

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that you are getting "Use Setup cartridges" error, follow these steps to fix the issue.

Perform a power reset

  1. Turn on the printer, if it is not already on.
  2. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
  3. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  4. Wait at least 30 seconds.
  5. Plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet and printer without any surge protector.
  6. Turn on the printer.

Update the printer firmware

Hi,

In fact, that's not the solution. But someone of the What's App Hp Help Service gave me the way to fix it:

- first, push in the same time "power" button, "resume" button and "black copy" button. Then "resume" and "return" buttons turn light. At this moment, you need open the cartridge door, and push "wifi" button while 10 sec. Then, you can close the door, and the "setup cartridge" message will be passed by,

Cheers
