I purchased a brand new (not sealed) printer from Facebook marketplace. When I go to set up the printer the setup cartridges are not in the box. I contacted the seller and they don’t have them. How can I bypass the setup cartridges?? I have gone through so many OOBE bypass videos but I have a HP Officejet pro 6230. When I try to register my product on HP website it says serial number not recognised!!! It’s like I’m stuck behind a wall not able to contact support!

I found this but it is cryptic and I do not have a printer to try it on.  Let me know if you  get it to work.  It mentions the 6220 so I am guessing it will work on the 6230

7858 7155 6220 Hit Home button, then Back button twice, then Home button (nothing changes on the screen so you just got go with it..). Open the lid, take out both cartridges and close it. It should error saying "no cartridges found" or something of the like. Open the lid and put the cartridges back in and close the lid. Printer will run diagnostics and print a test page if it worked right

Il give it a go, most videos have printers that have a screen. The officejet pro I have doesn’t have a screen.
