Hi @Ashleybrehm2,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

I understand you’re feeling tired and just want to get this setup sorted quickly.

I’ll need a bit more detail: Could you please share the exact HP model (laptop, printer, or other device)?

What does the message say when it mentions “under account”? Is it during initial setup, login, or while installing software?

Here are a few quick steps you can try:

01.Verify Account Login

Setup often requires signing in with your HP or Microsoft account.

On your device, go to Settings → Accounts → Sign-in options - Ensure you’re using the correct email and password

If unsure, try resetting your password via the Forgot Password option

02.Check Internet Connection

A  unstable connection can block account setup.

Open  Network & Internet settings - Confirm Wi-Fi or Ethernet is connected

Run a quick browser test to ensure internet access

03.Update HP Software

Outdated drivers or setup tools may cause account errors.

Open HP Support Assistant → Updates - Install all recommended updates

Retry the setup process after updates complete

I hope this helps.

I'm an HP Employee.
