I recently installed Windows 11 (mistake?) It claims to be compatible with both my AllinOne Pavillion PC and my HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 printer.
I now can only print one sided and in black and white. The options to print duplex and in colour have vanished from the relevant screens. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the printer; I've updated the drivers; I'm now out of ideas...

Hi Paula,
I work with a printer IT Support company - we've been able to resolve this issue often by having users install a new driver. Are you using the Universal Print Driver? I would recommend downloading the new one, and verify that the site is defaulting to Windows 11 (I don't know if there is one specifically for Windows 11, or not at the time of this post).
The most direct way of doing this is to fully remove the printer from your listed printers (Right click- Remove Device from Devices and printers found on control panel), and re-install it using the new driver during installation.
Hope this helps!

According to the documentation for the Universal Print driver your printer is not supported. https://support.hp.com/za-en/document/ish_4952109-2831856-16
As suggested, remove the printer and then reinstall by simply connecting the printer and allowing windows to detect the driver. If your printer is not shown as an option, use the option to check windows update for drivers. This should find a suitable driver.
