Hi!
After latest windows updates, my printer is printing really slow. Once it took almost 30 minutes to print a black and white drawing.
I have set the printer to 300dpi, updated the print drivers (from HP page), deleted the decive, reinstalled it, connected it to another computer (which also has latest WIN10 updates). On both PC's printing is really slow.
Is there any solution to this issue?

Welcome to HP Forums,
Let's get straight to it!
Does the issue occur on the copier as well, while using it as a stand-alone device?
Have you attempted a hard reset to fix the issue?
if not, here's what you need to start off with:
Resetting the printer can resolve some types of slow printing issues.
-
Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.
-
Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
-
With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
-
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
-
Wait at least 60 seconds.
-
Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
NOTE:
HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to the wall outlet.
-
Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
-
Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
-
Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.
Try to print. If the issue persists, continue to the next step.
Step 2: Check the print driver settings
Check the print driver settings. Selecting certain paper types or printing in Best quality can slow print speeds. Print with plain paper in Normal or Draft quality for faster print speeds.
-
Search Windows for printers, and then click Devices and printers in the list of results.
-
Double-click the icon for your printer.
-
Double-click Set Preferences.
-
Find the paper type information.
-
In the Paper type area, make sure Plain Paper is selected.
-
In the Quality Settings area, make sure Draft or Normal are selected.
-
Click OK or Apply to confirm the changes, close the HP printer driver window, and then close the Devices and Printers window.
Try to print. If the issue persists, continue to the next step.

Let me know how that pans out
I will have a colleague follow-up on this to ensure it's taken care off, in case you don't respond in the next 24-48hrs,
As I need to know if the issue has been resolved, to get proper sleep at night.

Hi!
So, I have tried just to copy, and it was faster than when I print from the computer. So this is funny 🙂 Now I will wait, until the printer is idle, plug it out,..as you mentioned in the guide.
Will keep you updated!
thank you for now

hi!
So here is the update!
My drivers are all the latest so this is ok. What helped me, was printer reset. I came from almost 20 minutes of printing /per page (sometimes even more) to 15 seconds on a page (image). Perfect!
Thank you for the help!

in my case looks like printer driver caused the issue,
Try to change the driver from "Microsoft PWG Raster class driver" to "HP Universal printing PCL 6" or "HP Universal printing PCL 6 (v6.8.0)" solved the problem, printer started printing immediately, my printer collected on Network port.
To change the driver go to Printer properties -> Advanced -> Driver in the drop done list select the latest PCL 6 it may not be same what i mentioned..
Hope this helps to some one, thanks.
