Printer connects and prints from Chrome - Smart App, for scanning, ... can't find printer

Hi,

The HP Smart app is not Chrome optimized and not intended to work on Chrome OS, the app is supported on Windows 10, MacOS, Android and iOS.

 

You may use Webscan or scan from the Chrome OS interface itself, as listed by below support document:

Smart app has nothing whatever to do with chrome or Chrome OS it only communicates with the wireless printer
