I have bought a new acer laptop and when I plug in the printer to the USB the app is blocked

Done all the trouble shooting I can find- run as admin, windows R etc etc and nothing seems to work

when I go into programs there is nothing for HP so cant delete anything

I downloaded the Smart app and it doesnt seem to like that either.

followed all the videos online

it works perfectly on my HP laptop which has windows 10

please please can you help!

Hi,

With the USB connected follow the HP Smart Install Control Utility below and disable the feature:

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/COL53553/Im-129228-1/LJM1130_M1210_SI_Utility.exe

 

Next unplug the USB and remove any instance of your printer if a such exists under Devices and Printers.

 

Next reinstall the HP printer and only connect the USB once prompt to do so:

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/COL32629/Im-80811-7/LJM1130_M1210_MFP_Full_Solution.exe

 

Note: if the installation extracts but won't open click the Start button and type %temp% into the search bar, then open the shown Temp folder.
Open the latest HP installation folder which begins with 7z (e.g. 7zs1234)
Double click HpSetup.exe and follow the installation.
