@Dareman, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Smart Tank 7602 is printing garbled or scrambled text on Windows 10, here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

Cancel the Current Print Job:

  • Open the Print Queue from the system tray or via Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners.
  • Select your printer, click Open queue, right-click the job, and choose Cancel.

Reset the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer using the power button.
  • Unplug the power cord from both the printer and the wall outlet.
  • Wait for 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn the printer on.

Try Printing from Another Program:

  • Open a different application (e.g., Microsoft Word or Notepad).
  • Try printing a simple document to see if the issue persists.
  • If it prints fine, the issue may be with the original software.

Check the Printer Connection:

  • If using a USB hub or network connection, try connecting the printer directly to your PC via USB.
  • For wireless connections, try disabling Wi-Fi and using a direct USB connection temporarily.

Update or Reinstall the Printer Driver:

  • Go to HP official support page and download the latest drivers for your model.
  • Uninstall the current driver from Device Manager, then reinstall the updated one.

Use HP Print and Scan Doctor:
