Smart Tank 7605 on ARM64 Windows

Using a new Surface Pro 11 with ARM64

Windows 11 Pro

I was able to set up the basics of the Smart Tank 7605 with the Microsoft app but I am missing many options that I had with the full web install.

Basically, when i try to print from Word or Adobe I am not given choices like booklet printing.

I have tried all exes in the website but they all fail to install. When I already see the printer and scan shortcuts in the desktop, installation fails and is reverted.

We need the full experience with this all in one printer.

Use HP Universal Print Application (HP UPA)

Since traditional drivers and full web installs are failing, you can use the HP Universal Print Application (HP UPA), which is built on the Microsoft Print Support App (PSA) and utilizes the Microsoft IPP class driver. This will provide a more comprehensive set of printing features.

Install HP Universal Print Application

Download HP Smart App:

• Go to HP Smart - Microsoft Store, download and install the HP Smart app.

Add Printer Using HP Smart App:

• Open the HP Smart app.
• Depending on what is shown, click "Set Up a New Printer" or "Add Printer".
• Follow the prompts to add and set up your HP Smart Tank 7605.

Print Using HP Universal Print Application:

• Open the document you want to print (Word or Adobe).
• Click File, then Print.
• Select the HP Smart Tank 7605 from the list of available printers.
• Click Printer Properties or Properties.
• Change the required print settings (e.g., booklet printing).
• Click OK, then Print.

That's unfortunately only a work around to the problem. 

One does not want to change printer properties every time you need to print double sided or booklet. Those options are native in Adobe and weird when a printer is properly installed and recognized. 

I hope HP considers developing the proper driver's and software for Snapdragon arm 64. The Microsoft hp smart app is simply too minimalistic.
