I would suggest trying and setting up a different email source (domain) like Gmail and see if it makes a difference.

Hi, did you manage to find a solution for this issue? I've just bought a 9010 and I'm currently experiencing the same issue as you:  upload to onedrive (via smart tasks) works while sending the scans to recipients (via smart tasks) doesn't (no error in smart tasks logs) . And just like in your case scan to email woks flawlessly

Which device are you using to use Smart tasks?

 

Update the HP smart app.

If you are using a Win PC, follow these steps:

  1. On the taskbar, select the Microsoft Store icon.
  2. If you don't see the Microsoft Store icon on the taskbar, it might have been unpinned. To pin it, select the Start button, type Microsoft Store, select Microsoft Store, then choose More > Pin to taskbar.
  3. Select More > Downloads and updates, and choose the Get updates button.

Now try scanning. Refer to this document for more info.
