Hello,
Hoping you can help me out with this issue. I have switched broadband supplier and decided to also change the wifi password in my house, but not the name of the wifi network.
The smart printer is trying to connect but has the wrong password, the hp smart app shows the printer as unavailable so I can't access the settings to change them.
I have tried putting the printer into wifi reset mode by pressing the x and wifi button for 5 seconds. The wifi bars on the small screen then start to flash all the at the same time. However the printer does not become discoverable as a new printer and if I select it as a "printer already connected to a network" I return to the home screen with the printer still listed as unavailable.
Have I performed the wifi reset correctly? At one point I saw the wifi bars cycling from smallest to largest - is this what wifi reset mode should look like instead?
Any idea what is going wrong?
I am wondering whether to go for a factory reset option, can you share how to do that?

I've finally managed to pair the printer and thought I would add in the details that I feel were missing from the guide.
IN wifi pairing mode the wifi bars cycle from 1 bar to 4 bars and repeat. This is what you are looking for.
If the wifi symbol is just flashing the pairing won't work.

Hi @Tusk3,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to assist you.
I see that you are facing an issue with connecting your Printer to the network.
Please follow the steps below to connect your printer to the network again as the service provider was changed.
1) Uninstall the HP smart app by click on this link, Restart the computer or mobile device to clear possible error conditions.
2) Enable Wi-Fi setup mode: When you turn on your printer for the first time, it is temporarily placed in Wi-Fi setup mode so that it can be discovered during setup. Use the printer control panel to restore Wi-Fi setup mode, and then set up the printer again. Go to Restore Wi-Fi setup mode on your HP printer for more information.
3) Refer to this link to use the HP smart app on your phone/tablet/PC to add a printer.
Note: Enable Bluetooth for an HP Smart app setup: Enable Bluetooth on your computer or mobile device so that HP Smart can detect the printer during the setup.
Please mark this post as “Accepted Solution” if the issue is resolved and if you feel this reply was helpful click “Yes”.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a great day ahead!

Thank you for these links, I had already followed these instructions but it was unclear as to what wifi linking mode actually looked like on the printer, was I doing it right? Should the wifi symbol be bliniking or should it be cycling from 1 bar to full.
I ask because I think I was into wifi pairing mode (held wifi button and X for 5 seconds until the wifi symbol started blinking) and "find my printer" still wasn't working. "Searching for printer" just times out.
