Software for HP Photosmart C4200 All-in-one on Mac OS Sonoma

I have this HP Photosmart C4200 all-in-one lying around and I would like to use it on my Mac that is running Mac OS 14 Sonoma. I found some post with a similar question and solutions, but unfortunately the link in those post (to HP Photosmart printer essentials driver - R5_1901) is no longer valid. Can anybody help to get this printer working on my Mac?

(1) Connect a USB cable between Photosmart printer and computer:

• 

(2) Then try to install the next HP Printer basic driver:

• >> HP Photosmart - essentials driver - R5_1901

You're the best! It seems to work. The scanner is definitely working (perfectly), but I have to buy new cartridges first to see if the printer works. The Mac is communicating with the printer, so I ass7me that will work too. Fantastic!

I bought replacement cartridges and the printer prints, but the Mac OS driver is not functioning properly. I can print a color test page, or a color alignment page, using the interface on the printer. So both cartridges appear to be fine. However, printing from my Mac only produces Black and White prints. It looks like the Mac thinks it's a B&W printer, as the preview in the print dialog is B&W. I don't see any option to swithc on color?
