Hallo,

I have tried to reinstall the printersoftware, but it doesn' work. The app shows the Installation is completed but only HPupdate has been installed. No Printer. The Scan and Print doctor idetiefies the printer and installs Software, but it also doesn't work.

Can somebody help me? I have tried to deinstall and install several times. The printer works with the other PCs in the network.  I think, that possily the last windows update has damaged something, Doesn't the software work windows 1909 Build: 18363.778

@Isygoing Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that you are unable to install the software.

Do not worry. I will try to fix the issue.

Please perform the

Clean reinstallation of Pre-installed HP drivers

1.       In Windows, search for and open Programs and features

2.       Select your HP Printer

3.       Select Uninstall

4.       In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers

5.       In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’

6.       Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo.

7.       Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)

8.       Click on the “Drivers” tab

9.       Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom

10.   Select Ok

11.   Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows

12.   Close Devices and Printers, restart the computer.

Click here to download the HP Full-featured driver.

Once downloaded, make sure to run the file to start the installation and follow the on-screen instructions.

I understand your concerns.

I would suggest you try the Windows built-in drivers. Follow the steps below:

•    Go to Control Panel - Devices and printers - Click on "Add printer" and follow the on-screen instructions.

•    When the page prompts for the drivers, select "Windows update". The driver list will be updated.

•    Click HP, Hewlett Packard, or Hewlett-Packard in the Manufacturer pane, and then click the name of your printer in the Printers pane.

Refer to this document HP Printers - Installing and Using the Windows Built-in Print Driver for help

Have a nice day!!

Do you really understand?

Windows recognises the printer, but trying to install the software doesn't work. so there is an error or the printer is declared as offline. On TCP/IP-Port it prints but no scans are possible. Using USB- works with printing and scanning by the HPSmart software. Using the WSD-PORT runs on otther systems with WSD-7..... on my System , there ist only WSD-3..... If i run  PRINT and Scan doctor, there ist no software detected and the installation fails.

Thanks.

Please assign manual IP to the printer-

The steps on how to set a manual IP address can be found here.

For the DNS servers please use 8.8.8.8 for the Manual Preferred DNS Server and 8.8.4.4 for the Alternate DNS server. These are Google’s public DNS servers.

Can you try this standalone scan software:

HP Scan Extended

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi

Once it's downloaded and installed, go to Start > All Programs > HP > HP Scan Extended > Run "HP Scan Extended"

Have a nice day!!
