HP Photosmart B109n-z
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have reinstalled the drivers and software for my Photosmart B109n-z printer many times, everything installs except Solution Center which fails to install completely.

During installation a Windows 8 fix is recommended, downloaded and reports that the problem is fixed. The Solution Center icon appears on the desktop but when i open it the error message is that it is not completely installed.

Windows Word sees the printer and prints.

Windows settings, Printers and Scanners is showing 2 printers; HP Photosmart Wireless B109n-z class driver, and HP817763 (HP Photosmart Wireless B109n-z)

Welcome to HP Community

I have gone through your Post and would like to help

Please uninstall the printer driver from root level and download the full feature software

1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
2.) Select your HP Printer
3.) Select Uninstall
4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’
6.) Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo.
7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)
8.) Click on the “Drivers” tab
9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
10.) Select Ok
11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
12.) Close Devices and Printers
13.) Restart the computer and download the full feature software Link: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/COL29819/mp-109707-3/PS_AIO_06_B109n-z_USW_Full_Win_140_40... and follow the onscreen instructions

Thanks for your reply but unfortunately once again it did not work

My operating system is Windows 10

1. I uninstalled the Printer App and its associated features from "Apps and Features"

2. I removed the Printer from "Printers and Scanners"

3. I instigated "printui.exe /s" and removed the driver for my printer.

4 I restarted my computer

5.I downloaded the link and installed as prompted

During the "configuring product" phase of the installation a fatal error message came up. I ok that, the configuration continues. Then a message saying that a fix for Windows 8 comes up, an error log is started, a desktop icon appears. The installation then completes with a reboot.

I open HP Solution Centre but it says that the installation is incomplete, and thus does not work!

Windows Word is seeing the printer.

There are 2 drivers in "Printer Server Properties" , "HP Photosmart Wireless B109n-z" and "HP Photosmart Wireless B109n-z Class Driver"

"Printers and scanners" lists the printer as "HP Photosmart Wireless B109n-z Class Driver"

"Apps and Features" lists the following HP items

1. "HP Photosmart Wireless B109n-z All-In-One Driver Software14,0 Rel 6 "

2. "HP Imaging Device Functions 14.0"

3. "HP Solution Center 14.0"

4. "HP Update"

5. "HP Photo Creations"

6, "HP Customer Participation Program 14.0"

7. "HP Smart" which sees the printer but reports Printer Status Unknown

Solution Center works perfectly on my wife's laptop.

Please uninstall the printer drivers again from root level

Then run the SFC Scan in Windows. Link: https://support.microsoft.com/en-in/help/4026529/windows-10-using-system-file-checker

After then restart and download the Full feature Software again
