Hi @dorneanu

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear that you're dealing with this. If someone is trying to steal your identity or access your accounts, it's important to act quickly. Here are some steps you can take to protect yourself:

1. Change Your Passwords

  • Immediately change the passwords for your HP account and any Google account or related accounts.
  • Use strong, unique passwords for each of your accounts. Consider using a password manager to help manage complex passwords securely.

2. Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

  • Google Account: Set up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) on your Google account to add an extra layer of security.
    • Go to Google's 2FA setup page and follow the steps.
  • HP Account: If available, enable 2FA for your HP account as well to prevent unauthorized access.

3. Check Account Activity

  • Google: Review recent activity in your Google Account. To do this:
    • Go to Google Account > Security > Your devices and check for devices you don’t recognize.
    • Also, check Google Activity to see if there’s anything unusual.
  • HP Account: Visit your HP account and check for any unauthorized changes or activities. If any, report it immediately.

4. Secure Your Email Account

  • Since email is a key target for identity theft, make sure your email account is secure:
    • Change your email password and enable 2FA.
    • Check the sent folder and filters for any suspicious activity or forwarding rules that you didn’t set up.

5. Monitor Your Financial Accounts

  • If you believe your financial information is at risk, immediately contact your bank or financial institution to monitor for unusual activity.

6. Be Wary of Phishing

  • Be careful of phishing attempts. If you get suspicious emails or messages asking for personal information or credentials, do not click any links or open attachments. Always verify the legitimacy of the message first.

I hope this helps.
