Every time I try to print multiple copies with staples, it prints everything then staples it all together. I want each copy to get stapled separately. I can't find the proper setting to change this. Please help!

Hi @a-crane_35,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Thanks for your question. We can definitely help with that!

What you’re experiencing, where all copies are printed and then stapled together as one stack, happens when the printer is set to collate all pages first and then apply the stapler once. What you want instead is for the printer to staple each set separately.

To guide you properly with the exact steps, we’ll need to know which HP printer model you have, because the menu options and driver settings vary slightly by model.

Please reply with:

📌 Your HP printer model name (e.g., OfficeJet Pro 9025e, LaserJet Enterprise MFP M631, PageWide Pro 477dw, etc.)

Once we have the exact model, we can give you step-by-step directions to:

  • Find the correct staple setting (e.g., “Staple Each Set”)
  • Adjust settings in the printer driver on your computer
  • Adjust settings on the printer control panel (if available)

Looking forward to your model info so we can help you get this set up exactly the way you want!

Take care and have an amazing day!
