Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

We are replacing all our older m602 printers with stapling units with new m608 with stapling option (J8J96A).

A post script file that prints on the old printers (and is stapled correctly), does print on the m608, but is not stapled.

The stapling unit works (tested with printing from MS-Word, and selecting staple from the printing preferences.)

I tried defining a print queue using the ps driver with stapling enabled by default, but that doesn't work either.

 

Printer has the lastest firmware (2504171_023871) , hp upd driver is also the latest version (7.0.1).

The document also prints and gets stapled using the last version of UPD PS and the old m602. using UPD versions 5.6.0 of 7.0.1

 

Seems like the m608 just doesn't understand postscript stapling...

The printers are leased, so can't register it as being owner.

Any ideas?
