Hi , I just bought an officejet 4655 all in one printer yesterday . I was following the set up guide and followed instructions on the 123 hp set up page and got as far as downloading software. I did not get to activate stage.
The printer now when turned on will after initial booting sound an alarm and display an error code OXB8OBA57C
Ive searched HP support pages for the answer but I cant find one. I have set my printer as default . Can somebody please help me to resolve this issue.

Hi @Musichead ,
Thank you for posting on HP Forums,
The Barachiel is at your service.
I understand you are in need of support,
I'll be glad to help you out, however, for an accurate solution I will need more details:
Have you attempted any steps on your own before posting on the HP Forums?
When was the last time it worked without these issues?
In the meantime, please try the steps mentioned below:
follow these steps to reset the printer.
Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.
Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
Wait at least 60 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
NOTE:
HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to the wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
The printer might go through a warm-up period. The printer lights might flash, and the carriage might move.
Wait until the warm-up period finishes and your printer is idle and silent before you proceed.
Let me know how that pans out. 🙂
I hope you have a good day ahead,
And Feel free to ask any other queries as well,
Considering, this forum has some of the best people in the world available and ready to help. 😉

Hi @Brachiel
Thanks for the reply. I have tried all the steps you have mentioned but I have not had any success.
This is a new printer bought last Friday and I have not been able to use it to print from my PC at all yet . When I turn the printer on after it boots up it starts flashing the error code . This only happens when I have my broadband on. When my broadband is off I have been able to scan and print. But in trying to set up a connection from the printer to the broadband is impossible as when broadband is on the printer is flashing warning error code and when broadband is off it is not discoverable.
I have been searching for a solution for over the weekend but to no avail. I just dont know what to do anymore .
If you can help me further I would appreciate it.
Thanks
