Still no Windows Server 2019 x64 driver for HP OfficeJet 8720 available?

I still cannot use my HP 8720 printer when accessing our Windows Server 2019 Terminalserver. The 2016 driver doesn't work 😞

When will HP release printer support for MS Server 2019?

Hi Stefan,

Try following below steps to install the drivers, I believe these should install using the same method on a Server 2019:

be sure to follow the Customize the installation section to see the pre-requirements and install the software from the command line.

You should extract and use below drivers:

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/printers/OJP8720/basic/OJ8720_Basicx64_40.12.1161.exe

Please keep in mind that no official support is available for server 2019 as of today, and if there will be any such in the future or not, but I do believe these steps should likely work for you.

Hi ShlomiL,

I already tried this, but I still can'T use my printer. After looking at Server2019 driver support list from HP I found out that 8730 version is supported as it is supporting PCL6. After buying a 8730 everything worked seamless.
