Good morning,
I have a printer that I'm trying to connect to my Hp account...I got through setup but when I got to the end I got an error message that it couldn't be registered to my account. I tried to do a factory reset and that's where it went bad...somehow the reset was interrupted and now I'm stuck in setup mode. I'm sure this is a simple fix, but this is definitely not my area of expertise. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.
I have a Mac Sonoma 14 system, if that matters.
Thank you! 🙂

Hi @KeepTruckin_35,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be glad to help you!
Is the printer asking for a setup ink cartridge?
If the printer is only stuck at the animation, let us try these steps:
Reset the printer
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
- Wait at least 60 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
- Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
- Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.
Note: HP recommends connecting the printer directly to a wall outlet rather than a surge protector or a power strip.
Update the printer firmware Click here
You might have to perform a semi-full reset on the printer if the issue persists.
The reset instructions are specific to your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.
I am sending you a private message with the steps to reset the printer. Please check the mailbox icon at the top-right corner of this screen.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
