My wife’s company issued her an HP OfficeJet Pro 9010 all in one printer. 

 

Our puppy ate all but the black cartridges that came with it. I went to staples and bought replacement cartridges (962XL Black and 962 regular for the colors.)

 

Now, as I’m trying to setup the printer, I stuck on the "Use SETUP Cartridges" error. Can I order replacement setup cartridges? Not being able to use the printer is just adding insult to the injury of a badly stained carpet…

 

Any options or work arounds?

I understand you are getting this error on the printer screen. We need to perform a factory reset on the printer to resolve this issue. 

  • The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
  • I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
  • In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon in the upper right corner of your HP community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/notes/privatenotespage
